The UK Government has launched a consultation exercise over plans to introduce life sentences for those found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police Scotland have confirmed that there was a “seasonal spike” in the number of drink driving offences over the festive period. 

A 25-year-old man has received a suspended prison sentence after allegedly allowing himself to be towed on roller skates by a car at speeds of up to 70mph, reports the Telegraph.
